This deep-coloured allium strain is believed to be selected and cultivated by J. Bijl in Holland over 50 years ago, inspired by the ornamental plantings at the Imperial Botanical Garden of St Petersburg. These studies capture the allium at its early stages, before it fully blooms into violet domes of star-shaped flowers.

Original Artwork on display in the exhibition will be available for collection or delivered after the end of the exhibition in early January 2025 when the venue re-opens after Christmas. Prints are available immediately for collection or delivery.
